Overview
The Text Generator creates random text in three modes: strong Password generation with configurable character sets and a strength indicator, Random Name generation with gender and format options, and Lorem Ipsum placeholder text in configurable quantities of words, sentences, or paragraphs.
How to Use
Select a generation mode from the tabs. In Password mode, set the length and toggle which character types to include (uppercase, lowercase, numbers, symbols), then click Generate. In Names mode, choose gender preference and name format. In Lorem Ipsum mode, specify the quantity and unit type. Click any result to copy it instantly.
Background & Context
Lorem ipsum text is derived from Cicero’s philosophical work “de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum” (On the Ends of Good and Evil), written in 45 BC. The scrambled version has been used as placeholder text since the 1500s in typesetting. It was popularized digitally by Aldus Corporation in their PageMaker desktop publishing software in the 1980s and remains the industry standard today.
